Section 1

Terms of Use

By using this site you agree to these terms. They are short because the site does one thing: republish public records with links to their sources.

What this site is

LVMPD INFO is an independent, taxpayer-funded public-information project. It is not a government website. It is not affiliated with, operated by, or endorsed by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD), Clark County, the City of Las Vegas, or any court.

What you may do

  • Read, search, print and share any page.
  • Link to any page or record.
  • Quote our summaries with attribution to LVMPD INFO and a link.

What you may not do

  • Present this site as an official LVMPD, county or court source.
  • Use records here to harass, stalk, threaten or discriminate against any person. Nevada and federal law prohibit this regardless of where the information came from.
  • Scrape the site at a rate that degrades service for others. Bulk data is available on request.
  • Charge anyone a fee to remove or alter a record here. We never charge for corrections; neither may you.

No warranty

Records are republished as they appear at their official source at the time we checked. They can be incomplete, delayed or wrong. Do not rely on this site for employment, housing, credit or insurance decisions; those uses are governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and this site is not a consumer reporting agency.

Changes

We may revise these terms. The effective date at the top of this page changes when we do, and prior versions are available on request.

Section 2

Privacy Policy

We collect as little as possible about the people who read this site, and we say exactly what that is.

What we collect

  • Server logs: IP address, requested page, time, browser type. Kept 30 days for security and capacity planning, then deleted.
  • Correction requests: the name and email address you give us and what you tell us. Kept for two years so we can show our work if a correction is challenged.
  • Nothing else. No advertising trackers, no third-party analytics, no social-media pixels, no fingerprinting.

Cookies and local storage

One item of local storage remembers your light/dark theme choice. It never leaves your browser. There are no cookies.

Who we share with

No one, except when required by a valid legal process, in which case we will notify the affected person unless legally barred from doing so. Our hosting provider processes server logs on our behalf under contract.

People who appear in records

If you appear in a record on this site, you have the rights described in theCorrections Policy: to have errors fixed, to have sealed or dismissed matters updated or removed, and to receive a reply within two business days, at no charge.

Children

We do not knowingly publish records identifying anyone under 18, and juvenile records are excluded from our sources by design.

Section 3

Accessibility Statement

LVMPD INFO is built to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Accessibility is a design requirement, not a fix applied afterward.

What we do

  • Every page has a skip link, landmarks and a logical heading order.
  • All text meets a 4.5:1 contrast ratio; controls and focus indicators meet 3:1, in both light and dark themes.
  • Every control works with a keyboard and has a visible focus state. Nothing is hidden behind hover alone.
  • Data tables have real headers and captions; on small screens they become labeled lists rather than shrinking.
  • Motion is minimal and is removed entirely when your system requests reduced motion.
  • Text can be resized to 200% and reflowed to 320px wide without loss of content.
  • Status is never shown by color alone; each chip carries text.

Known limitations

  • Official documents we link to (PDFs at LVMPD, the county or the courts) may not be accessible. We summarize their content so the substance is available here in text.
  • Automated testing runs on every release; manual testing with NVDA, VoiceOver and keyboard-only navigation is done quarterly. Issues found between audits are listed on this page.

Tell us about a barrier

If any part of this site is hard to use with assistive technology, email[email protected] or call702-555-0100 (voice and relay). Include the page address and what happened. We reply within two business days and fix confirmed barriers within ten.

This statement was prepared September 2026 and is reviewed every six months.

Section 4

Independence and First Amendment Notice

This is the full notice that appears in short form on every page.

LVMPD INFO is an independent public-information project funded by taxpayers of Clark County, Nevada. It exists to fill information gaps for Las Vegas residents by collecting, summarizing and linking public records that are already published by government bodies.

It is not the official website of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. It is not operated, maintained, reviewed or endorsed by LVMPD, the Office of the Sheriff, Clark County, the City of Las Vegas, the Clark County Detention Center, or any court. The project was developed in consultation with LVMPD's Office of Public Information regarding scope and sourcing; that office has no editorial control over this site and no responsibility for its content.

The site uses no LVMPD logo, badge, seal, star, patch or other official insignia. Its name and wordmark are its own. Where the site refers to LVMPD, it does so descriptively.

For official services, use lvmpd.com. To file a police report, request records, contact an area command, or reach the department, go tolvmpd.com. In an emergency, call 911. For non-emergency police assistance in Las Vegas, call 311.

Presumption of innocence. An arrest is an accusation, not a finding. Every person named in an arrest or court record on this site is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law. Charges listed at booking may be changed, reduced or dropped by prosecutors, and a case may be dismissed or a record sealed after we published it. Each record shows when we last checked its source; check the source for the current state.

Protected speech. The collection and republication of public records, with commentary and summary, is speech protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution and by Article 1, Section 9 of the Nevada Constitution. Requests to remove accurate public records will be declined; requests to correct inaccurate ones, or to update records affected by sealing, dismissal or expungement, are handled free of charge under theCorrections Policy.

Funding and governance. The project's budget, funding source and governance documents are available on request and will be published on this page in a later phase.

Section 5

Data Sources

Every record on this site names its source and the time we last checked it. These are the sources.

Sources by section
SectionOfficial sourceRefreshFields we carry
CCDC ArrestsCCDC in-custody search ↗Clark County Detention Center, operated by LVMPDAfter every full sweep of the search (several hours each)Exactly what the search lists: name, booking number, age, race and sex as listed, and for each charge its case number, charge text, CCDC status, related case, arrest date, detainer flag, cash and surety bail, housing, and the next court department, action, date and time. The search does not list an arresting agency, arrest type, statute or charge class, so we show none.
StatisticsCCDC in-custody search. The page counts the booking file this site publishes from that search. After every full CCDC sweepCustody, charge titles and the status CCDC lists on each charge, charges per booking, cash bail summed from those charges, days from the listed arrest date until a sweep found the booking off the list, sex and age as listed, and court department as listed. Charge class is not inferred. Race is listed on each booking and is not totaled here.
NewsNews outlets' public feedsstories tagged as about LVMPD or the detention centerFeeds checked every 15 minutes; new items published every 10Headline, outlet, publication date, category, a one-sentence summary, and a link to the original story. Never the story's full text.
Court CasesCCDC in-custody search ↗the cases listed on each bookingAfter every full sweep of the searchCase number, defendant as listed, each charge with its CCDC status, bail and detainer flag, and the scheduled court events (department, action, date, time). We do not yet read the courts' own records, so there is no court name, filing date, case type, docket or disposition; the courts' records are authoritative.

What we deliberately leave out

  • Names of victims, witnesses and juveniles, even where a source includes them.
  • Home addresses, dates of birth and other identifiers beyond age at booking.
  • Booking photographs. Nevada law restricts commercial use of booking photos; we do not publish them.
  • Any inference. If a source does not state something, neither do we.

How summaries are written

Each news summary is a single sentence generated automatically by an AI classifier from the story itself. It is not written or reviewed by a person. Every item links to the original story so readers can compare, and we publish only the headline, the summary and the link, never the story's text.

Section 6

Corrections Policy

Anyone can ask us to correct, update or remove a record. It is free, always.

What you can ask for

  • Correct an error: the record does not match its official source.
  • Update a record: the source has changed (release, dismissal, disposition, sealing, expungement) and we have not caught up.
  • Remove a record: the record has been sealed or expunged, identifies a juvenile, or was published in error.
  • Fix a summary: a news summary misstates what the official release says.

How to ask

Use the correction form on any record, email[email protected], or call702-555-0100. Tell us the record ID (shown on every record), what is wrong, and, if you have it, the court order or source page that shows the correct information. You do not need a lawyer and you do not need to prove who you are to report an error.

What happens next

  1. You get a reference number immediately.
  2. We check the official source within two business days and reply by email or phone.
  3. If the source confirms the change, we update or remove the record and note the correction on it.
  4. If the source does not confirm it, we tell you what we found and how to get the source corrected. When the source changes, so will we.

What we will not do

  • Charge a fee for any correction, update or removal.
  • Remove an accurate public record because someone would prefer it not be public.
  • Alter a record on the basis of a claim we cannot verify against the source.

Corrections log

Material corrections to news summaries are noted on the article. A monthly count of record corrections is published on this page.

My case was dismissed. Why does the arrest still show?
Arrest and court records are separate sources. A dismissal appears on the court case first; the arrest record is then annotated with the disposition when our court refresh runs. If it has been more than a day, request an update and we will link the two immediately.
My record was sealed. What do you need?
A copy of the sealing order, or the case number so we can confirm it with the court. Sealed records are removed, not annotated, and the removal is logged without the person's name.
Someone with my name was arrested. It is not me.
Tell us. We will add age at booking and booking number more prominently on that record and, if the source provides it, a middle name, to reduce confusion. We cannot remove an accurate record of a different person.
