Evidence rule

This page is public-interest research. An argument grade is not a court finding. A watchdog page describes the device. It is not proof a Nevada agency bought it or turned a feature on. A product description is not a Nevada practice. Agencies are not merged: the City of Las Vegas Department of Public Safety, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the Clark County School District, the City of Reno, and the Nevada Department of Public Safety stay separate. A hotlist hit is not a confirmed crime. Legal review of this page is unverified.

What it does

Health records held by a clinic or a hospital include diagnoses, visits, and notes. Police or a federal agency can seek them by subpoena, warrant, or another legal process aimed at one patient’s file. That path is a request for a record. It is not the same as buying a broker file that happens to contain health information.

Privacy watchdog concerns

No watchdog page is attached.

Constitutional issues

Unresolved question

No constitutional provision is attached. The factual record is not sufficient.

Warrant practice not established for a Nevada agency

Health records by subpoena or federal process: No Nevada health-record demand is documented. A subpoena for one file is not a broker purchase. No constitutional holding is applied.

No decision in this library decides a health-record subpoena. EPIC’s broker one-pager is about purchased data, not this legal-process path, and it is not attached here.

Statutes attached to read, not findings.

  • NRS Chapter 239. Nevada public-records law is the route to ask for contracts, policies, and logs. Citing it is not a finding that a surveillance practice is unlawful.

Nevada use

Not documented on this page.

Legal-process path only. Broker health data is not this card.
