What it does
A sensor-fusion dashboard shows more than one kind of sensor on one screen: cameras, plate readers, gunshot alerts, and location hits. The dashboard does not create the sensors. It joins alerts that other systems already made. EFF describes this as one pane of glass. That is a product claim, not a Nevada wiring diagram.
Privacy watchdog concerns
- Electronic Frontier Foundation. Neighborhood Watch Out: Cops Are Using Fusus to Incorporate Private Cameras Into Their Real-Time Surveillance Networks. EFF says real-time crime center software can pull public cameras, private cameras, gunshot alerts, plate readers, and drones onto one screen after a resident or a business registers a camera. EFF says a live private feed can be opened without a warrant. This is EFF’s claim about that product type. It does not identify a Nevada purchase.
